Nature Club
The Nature Club of Mekalsuta College Dindori Multidisciplinary Institute (M.P.) is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, conservation, and green practices among students. We encourage active participation in maintaining a sustainable campus and developing care for the natural heritage of the Dindori region.
Our Objectives & Activities
Plantation Drives
We organize annual tree plantation events on the campus and in surrounding rural areas to increase green cover.
Waste Management
Promotes plastic-free initiatives, segregation of organic/inorganic waste, and clean campus drives (Swachh Bharat).
Nature Trails
Guided eco-walks and field visits to nearby forest ranges and Narmada riverbanks to learn about local biodiversity.
Eco Awareness
Conducts seminars, poster-making competitions, and slogan writing events on ozone conservation, climate change, and energy saving.
Nature Club Milestones
Green Campus Audit
Annual evaluation of carbon footprints and checking energy consumption metrics to identify savings options.
Water Conservation Programs
Creating rainwater harvesting structures to replenish groundwater levels in Dindori's dry seasons.
Community Outreach
Going to nearby villages to teach farmers about organic fertilizer practices and water conservation.
